Can I use essential oils?
Yes. It works as an aromatherapy diffuser as well as a humidifier. Two or three drops of a water-soluble essential oil in a full tank is plenty.
Does the steam get hot?
Never. The "steam" is ultrasonic cool mist, so it's cool to the touch even straight out of the smokestack.
How does the timer work?
Choose continuous, 2 hours or 8 hours from the remote. The 2H setting is perfect for falling asleep; 8H keeps the air comfortable all night.
Which plug type should I choose?
Pick US for outlets in the United States and Canada, EU for most of continental Europe, and UK for the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Is it quiet enough for a bedroom?
Yes. It runs under 36dB, quieter than a typical air conditioner, so it's easy to sleep next to.
How do I clean it?
Unplug it, empty the tank and wipe it with a soft cloth and a little diluted white vinegar once a week. Rinse, air-dry and refill. Distilled or filtered water helps prevent white mineral dust. Never submerge the base.
